Chemical Peels
We also offer chemical peels alone or in conjunction with a hydrafacial. These can be
mild and equivalent to non-ablative energy-based treatments such as the OPUS or
Harmony XL laser or far stronger peels. The major difference is that strong peels cause
deeper extension to the epidermis to start a complete sloughing and re-growth. This
process causes redness, discomfort, and drainage for several days to weeks with redness
lasting up to several months after the treatment. If you can tolerate these aspects of the
treatment, then peels may be for you.

Carbon Peels

The carbon laser peel, in particular, is often dubbed the ‘dark crystal peel’ or ‘Red carpet peel’ because of celebrity interest. In Asia, talk of laser technology results has spread rapidly with the creation of two catchy nicknames, including ‘china doll peel’ and ‘porcelain peel’. No matter what it’s called, the results are the same – refreshed, exfoliated skin that is softened, smoothed, and firmed in just 20 minutes. Hydrafacials and chemical peels are both popular skin treatments, but they target different concerns and work in distinct ways. Here's a breakdown of what each one treats:
A Hydrafacial is a non-invasive, multi-step treatment that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts impurities, and hydrates the skin using a specialized device. It commonly treats:
-
Dry or dehydrated skin
-
Fine lines and wrinkles
-
Uneven skin tone and texture
-
Congested pores and blackheads
-
Oily skin
-
Mild acne
-
Dull complexion
Benefits: Immediate glow and hydration- No downtime- Suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin. Price: starting at $170
A chemical peel uses acids (like glycolic, salicylic, or TCA) to exfoliate the skin and remove damaged outer layers. It commonly treats:
-
Acne and acne scars
-
Hyperpigmentation (dark spots, melasma)
-
Sun damage
-
Fine lines and wrinkles
-
Uneven skin tone
-
Rough skin texture
Types:
-
Superficial/light peels– mild exfoliation, minimal downtime
